TRANSPLANTING

I have now transplanted the seedlings to separate pots. In the picture you could see tomato, paprika and chile pepper plants. For more photos, go to the gallery at Buzznet.

The paprika plants are growing pretty steady. It is time to transplanting them to separate pots.

All the paprika (sweet pepper) and chile pepper seeds have started to grow now, except for Ancho Mulato.

WINE TIPS BY JOHN CLEESE

In an earlier post I mentioned John Cleese's wine program, Wine for the Confused. I got a chance to watch the program the other day. I enjoyed it very much. John Cleese was in a jolly good mood and he invited his friends to test wines in different ways:

• Describe the wines with a few words.
• Blind taste, deciding if it was red or white wine.
• Putting a price tag, $5 - 200.

He went to different vineyards and tested wine from six different grapes:

1. Riesling
2. Sauvignon Blanc
3. Chardonnay
4. Pinot Noir
5. Merlot
6. Cabernet Sauvignon

Have you been to the following places in California?

• Los Olivos Grocery in Santa Ynez.
• Byron Winery in Santa Maria.
• Gainey Vineyard in Santa Ynez.

I have put the following paprika and chilepper seeds in the soil:

Chilepepper:

• Ancho Mulato - Capsicum annuum
• Peri Peri - Capsicum baccatum
• Hot Tepin - Capsicum annuum
• Cheyenne F1
• Macskasárga
• Macskapiros

I have Szentesi Fehér Kosszarvú seeds too, but I haven't planted them because it was stated on the bag that you should put the seeds in the soil during the month of December.

Paprika:

• Lipstick - Capsicum annuum
• Albaregia
• Táltos
• Édesalma
