Some of the chile pepper and paprika seeds are starting to sprout.

Happy news! The boss of chile peppers, Corbaci, is here!

TIME FOR THE NEXT STEP WITH THE PLANTS

It is time to pick some of the plants and move them to separate pots. The planting season is delayed and I am not sure that I will harvest any chile pepper and paprika fruits this summer.

SWEET BANANA

At last! I was almost going "bananas," but now I see a chance of eating a sweet banana paprika pepper....

ROCOTO MANZANO

One Rocoto Manzano plant has arrived. Now it is only Sweet Banana left...

PAPRIKA PLANTS

Some of the paprika plants have started to grow. Here is a picture of Édesalma ("apple pepper") and Greygo paprika plants from Hungary. Still waiting for Sweet Banana...

NEW CHILE PEPPER SEASON

It is time for a new chile pepper season. I have started late this time around, so I am not sure if I will get some plants ready in time for the harvest. Please "cross your fingers"...

NEW PAPRIKA SEASON

It is time to purchase new paprika (i.e., bell pepper and chile pepper) seeds. Here is a picture from last year's harvest. I have dried several different chile pepper fruits and I will make a chile flakes mix later on.



Next week I will try to come up with a new version of my BACON AND HAM TOAST.
